Cushland means the land of Africa. Cushland Investments is focused on investing in the land and peoples of Africa. For us, Cushland represents our commitment to investing in the land and peoples of Africa.
We are a private investment company focused wholly on Africa.
Cushland Investments Ltd focuses on raising, unlocking, and building capital for investment into economic opportunities in Africa and the people of Africa. We do this with integrity, excellence, and equity.
The world is at the threshold of a New Economic era, fueled by advances in Technology, information/communication, and Transportation. There will be a tremendous need for wealth/capital to fund the explosive appetite of the beginnings of this new economy.
We believe that Africa can help fund this new economy. It is perhaps the last bastion of major yet untapped or barely tapped resources, and yet there is a dearth of funding to secure capital to help unlock these resources responsibly.
We aim to help unlock these resources in Africa through participatory engagement, making use of private capital.
The word Cush means Ethiope or Ethiopia, an ancient word referring to Blacks. Cushland, therefore, means the land of blacks. Cushland Investments is focused on investments in the land of blacks, which is Africa and its people.
Africa can take its place in the business world with the integrity of heart and soul and without bias to all men, and yet honouring the Lord of the marketplace with all heart and without shame.
Africa is perhaps the last major holdout for natural resources in the world, and it is a preserve that was put in place to bless both Africa and the world. Unfortunately, on both sides of the divide, it has been a case of greed, misuse, and a propensity to violate the continent without a true focus to help the continent develop its biggest asset- its people, or build the continent into all it can be. We aim to be a leading voice for Africa, and Africa to the outside world.
